Well, we had a pretty exciting summer! Thanks from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who turned out to see us - Strawberry Fair was a massive highlight and we got chased around the festival by complete strangers wanting to tell us how much they enjoyed our set. :) We also played "Quyfest" - possibly the smallest festival in England, but a huge amount of fun!

Our next port of call will be the Man on the Moon (yet again) on Wednesday November 12, supporting our old allies Rome Burns (check out their new website!) at the Cambridge preview party for their new album The Static Murmur. Tickets 4, available from our shiny NEW online store at http://fireandforget.bigcartel.com or just show up on the night!

Cheers,

Okay, we were gone longer than we meant to be, due to in-band health reasons - we apologise to our loyal fans for the break in service. But, do not adjust your set! Because Fire & Forget are back yet again, this time playing the Cambridge Barfly with Corrosion and Screaming Banshee Aircrew, on 24 May 2008. Also, rumour has it we might be playing Strawberry Fair this year as well, so please turn out to support England's biggest free festival and see if we made it!

And finally, the magic 8-ball says we might just be due back in the recording studio sometime this summer - watch this space!

Fire & Forget regret to announce that following Kreuzdammer's split and a series of technical issues, the August 20th gig at the Cellar Bar 8 is CANCELLED. Our sincere apologies to all our fans.

We will be scheduling some new dates sometime in the latter part of the year, watch this space!

Couple of shows coming up, people! First, on Monday 16th July at the Cellar Bar 8 we're headlining with the awesome Scar My Eyes and HeKz in support. This will be all metal all the way, so come and get your heads down!

Secondly, we are extremely proud to announce that on Monday 20th August, also at the Cellar Bar 8, we will be supporting industrial-metal overlords Kreuzdammer! Further details to be confirmed, but this will be a night not to be missed! See you there!

Two shows to announce today! Firstly, we are playing Ballare's Rockstock club night on Sunday 3rd June! Please come and support us and the night - it's the biggest and cheapest rock night Cambridge is ever likely to have, and we need YOU to show up to make sure that it turns a profit and stays open! Admission is just two pounds for four and a half hours of the finest rock, metal, punk and indie, and all the drinks will be two quid each ALL NIGHT! And you get to see us do our stuff too!

And secondly, we will be playing our local the Cellar Bar 8 with local power metal veterans Dryad and support from Thirteen Motions, on Monday 18 June. Doors 9pm, entry four pounds. We're really looking forward to this as both Dryad and TM are fantastic bands and we're delighted to be sharing a stage with them. Prepare to be rocked!

Oh, and while I remember it's Strawberry Fair this coming Saturday June 2nd. While we're not playing this time Richard and I are stewarding, so come over and say hi if you see us! Have a good one!

Cheers,
Kit (bass)

A quick announcement that we will be playing the Cellar Bar 8 with headliners Leaden and also Malignant Germ Infestation and Latahs, on Monday 21 May. Doors 9pm, entry four quid or three with a flyer if you happen to find one. Your chance to see F&F without tripping over all the goffs! ;)

13 March 2007

Just a quick update to announce that due to circumstances beyond our control, the running order has been switched for the March 27th gig. Victory Pill will now be headlining, with Fire and Forget in support. Hope to see you all there notwithstanding the alteration!

It's been a good month for flattering invitations! Fire and Forget are thrilled to announce that we've been asked to open for our old allies Rome Burns and the mighty The Last Dance, the latter here on a rare visit from the States! The show will be on Sunday the 22nd April 2007 at the Loft, Cambridge. Hope to see you all there!

Details available on the gigs page, as always...

Great news! Fire and Forget are very proud to announce that on the 27th March 2007, we will be headlining at the Cellar Bar 8, Cambridge, with support from very special guests VICTORY PILL! Victory Pill are the new project of former Prodigy/Pitchshifter guitarist Jim Davies; they're touring in support of their forthcoming single "Worst Case Scenario", and have elected to play with local metal bands rather than headlining their own tour. We are of course highly honoured by this, and very much hope that all our fans will turn out and demonstrate that Cambridge isn't the metal desert some might suppose!

Details available on the gigs page, watch this space for further updates!

Well, we didn't win the Battle of the Bands, but the judges did give us an honourable mention/commendation for our stage presence and performance. Still, it was a student event and we did stick out rather by comparison with the other acts, so we're very happy with that as a result. And we were delighted and touched by the sheer number of black-clad maniacs who showed up to support us and turned the front row into a cheering wall of solid ROCK - thank you to all of you!

In other news, Blood, Sweat and Tears is now in pressing and should be released within the fortnight! Copies will be available from the band for a very reasonable price, let one of us know if you want one. And even more exciting, we are currently in negotiations to headline a very special gig at the end of March. Details are currently confidential but watch this space for more - you'll hear it here first!

That's it for now, guys. Keep on rockin'!

Cheers,

Breaking news: Fire and Forget are thrilled to announce that we made it into the final of the SCA Battle of the Bands on Saturday 10 February 2007! The venue will be Clare Cellars, Cambridge; more details on the gigs page as we get them!

We urgently need your support for this show! The prize for the winning band is studio time at our regular studio Zoo Audio - if we can take home the trophy, we'd be well within reach of recording a full album. So please turn up, support us, and help us impress the judges! And of course, win or lose we promise you a great show and a great time, so hope to see you all there!

Cheers,
Kit (bass)

28 January 2007

Hey, guys! It's been a while... but you'll be glad to know that Fire and Forget are still alive and kickin' it out!

First, we are proud to introduce our new drummer, Mikki Scorpion! Second, we are even more proud to announce that our all-new EP "Blood, Sweat & Tears" is fully recorded and is in the final stages of production, with a projected release date of early February 2007. The full tracklisting will be: "You'll Never Have More", "Future in Flames", "Michael", and "Casualties of War".

Lastly, we are currently trying to get ourselves a place at the SCA Battle of the Bands on 10 February 2007. Further updates on that will be available as soon as we get them, wish us luck!

Cheers,
Kit (bass)

Today's big news is - Fire and Forget are back!

We've been gone for a while, thanks to lineup changes and whatnot, but we are now definitely back in town. We have a show lined up on July 12th at the Portland with Rome Burns and Wychweed (see Gigs for more on that!) and we're heading into the studio in early Autumn to record a new demo EP. So if you want to see us, hear us, book us or (we wish) sign us, now's the time! Hope to see you soon!
